The first document contains the Chart Field Account Code Key - the categories used by the District in allocating its monies.
The second document contains the Accounting Procedures for 2009 - it explains in excellent detail the hows, whys and whens of money allocation.
The third document contains the accounts payable register for the 2008-2009 school year; for my own convenience sake, I concatenated the Chartfield Account numbers. For a look at the original register, click here.
In addition to sorting the information by date, account number, alphabetical by payee, and amount, I found it helpful to also sort out certain groups of payees, including the following:

- LLP's - to pull out limited liability partnerships
- LTD's - to pull out LTD's/Limiteds
- Inc.'s - to pull out Inc.'s/Incorporated/Incorporations
- Corp's - to pull out Corp's/Corporations
- Co's - to pull out Co's/Company's
- Company's - to pull out Company's
- Computer - to pull out Computer/Computers
- &'s - to pull out ampersands, which are often in the names of Law Firms
- And's - to pull out And's, which are often in the names of Law Firms
- DC's - to pull out anything pursuant to Washington DC
- Card Services - to pull out Card Services, to make it easier to see the rest of the data
- Sinton's - to pull out Sinton's, to make it easier to see the rest of the data
- US Foodservice - to pull out US Foodservice, to make it easier to see the rest of the data
- Cheezer's/Inflated's/Mand's - to pull out Jan Tanner's money
- Acronym's - some payees are listed with full names, others are abbreviated; they count as two separate entities, however, so it's just interesting to see them

- First/Last Name's - to pull out staff members/teachers
- Wireless's - to pull out wireless stuff
- X's - i found it helpful to sort out the payee names that contained the letter X

- ,'s - to pull out payee names that contain commas, which is common in Law Firms

- PC's - to pull out payee names that contain PC
- MD's - to pull out payee names for doctors
- Esq's - to pull out payee names for Attorneys
- Health's - to pull out payee names that contain the word "health"
- in's - to pull out payee names that contain " in "; case sensitive
- Inter's - to pull out payee names that contain Inter/Internal/International
- Svc's - to pull out payee names that contain "Svc"
- Comm's - to pull out payee names that contain Comm/Community/etc.
- Computer's - to pull out payee names that contain the word "computer"
- Bank's - to pull out payee names that contain the word "Bank"
- Colo's - to pull out payee names that contain "Colo", "Colorado", etc.

If you do decide to wallow into this muck, do take note of the capital improvement costs that were incurred for the schools that were eventually closed; also take note of how much money went towards cosmetic types of improvements.
Lastly, keep in mind that alot of the changes in curriculum/text books are the direct result of political correctness issues; I'll provide some background to the textbook issue in my following post.
