Peggy Littleton - a real class act

originally posted October 2010 and today I have just one question for Peggy Littleton:
there is no way that you cannot be aware of the countless atrocities occurring to El Paso County families, the forced adoptions of their children, and the evil millions of dollars in federal money changing hands with the monsters at the El Paso County Department of Human Services; how can you in good conscience continue to sit on the county commission and do nothing to stop it???

*****************************************************

I have had opportunity to work with both Merrifield and Littleton on separate projects; allow me to say something totally subjective and personal about the candidates in this particular race.

Though we'd been introduced and sat next to each other at several meetings over the course of several months, Mike was always *so* lofty and cool towards me that at times it seemed he was looking right over me...or through me -- and yes, I am saying that he made me feel like I was invisible!

In stark contrast, the very first time I met Peggy Littleton, she didn't talk at or over me -- rather, she spoke *with* me. When I mentioned to her some of my struggles as a starving artist, she looked me straight in the eye and said, "I *will* help you." And guess what? Two days later, I got a call from an organization who needed a writer and had been referred to me through Peggy.

!  !  !  !  !  !  !  !

I never dreamed that I would ever be rubbing elbows with politicians; but over the past three years, I've met plenty...and been impressed by very few. Peggy Littleton is the stand-out amongst them. She has a firm handshake, she looks you in the eye, she means what she says, she keeps her word, and she sincerely cares about people, great or small. As far as I'm concerned, she could be an integrity role-model...and if I had a real estate transaction, I'd *want* her onboard because I would trust her to comport herself ethically.

Of course, this is just one person's opinion -- but it's based on first-hand accounts, not a second-hand re-hash. The Colorado Springs Independent recently ran an article that was nothing more than a crappy attempt at smearing a genuinely good person and making mountains out of molehills; I'm surprised at Pam Zubeck and the Independent, who have willingly turned a blind eye to Jan Tanner's pizza shenanigans for far too long.

  1. Got your link as a google alert on Peggy Littleton. Indeed, she is a class act. With a news "reporter" like Pam Zubeck Cunningham trying to help Merrifield, it's proof Peggy's campaign is doing well. Peggy's support for all schools, public, charter, and homeschools, galls people like Merrifeld and Zubeck. Too bad but a part of union political mindset thinking. Such is life.
